Starting salary £105,600 rising to £119,220 (Plus car/allowance)

Mr Alan Pughsley, the Chief Constable of Kent Police is seeking to recruit three exceptional new Assistant Chief Constables to unique, challenging and rewarding roles.

These exciting and rewarding opportunities are to lead a range of portfolios including both operational and investigative functions. We are also recruiting an Assistant Chief Constable to lead the joint Serious Crime Directorate, a collaborative role with Essex Police.

These influential and strategic leadership roles play a key part in the corporate management and direction of Kent Police. The joint Assistant Chief Constable for the Serious Crime Directorate will be part of both Kent and Essex Chief Officer teams.

Successful applicants for investigative opportunities will be accredited detectives and have a sound and all round local and specialist detective policing expertise with evidence of exceptional delivery at the strategic level.

If you are applying for the role of ACC for the Kent Police and Essex Police Serious Crime Directorate you must be an accredited detective and be able to demonstrate:

  • Technical skills necessary to effectively lead a range of high risk operations including major crime, serious and organised crime, intelligence, forensics and covert policing.

Candidates must have passed the Senior Police National Assessment Centre and successfully completed the Strategic Command Course and the necessary vetting checks required to attain the rank of Assistant Chief Constable before appointment.

There will be a briefing event for interested candidates on Tuesday 4th January 2022 between 16:00 and 17:30 hours at Kent Police Headquarters, Northfleet.
