We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative leader with an exceptional operational background and outstanding leadership qualities to support the Chief Constable in leading the force.

This is a role which is both strategic and operational and candidates will be expected to show how they can lead colleagues and work with other organisations to develop new approaches to keeping the County safe, to operationalise their work and to evaluate its effectiveness and efficiency.
Your reputation for delivering organsiational wide performance, objective judgement and sophisticated decision making in a complex and sometimes ambiguous operational arena will need to be evidenced by recent success. Amongst many other responsibilities you will play a leading role in leading, developing and implementing strategies that continue to support victims, reduce violence, enhance visibility, prevent crime and protect those who are vulnerable within our society.

Candidates must have passed the Senior Police National Assessment Centre and have successfully completed the Strategic Command Course and the necessary vetting checks required to attain the rank of Deputy Chief Constable before appointment.
