Further National Black Police Association statement on the incident at Manchester Airport

The National Black Police Association are supporting the family of those involved in the incident at Manchester Airport, particularly those who work within policing.
The incident has been deeply traumatic for all involved but despite the commentary surrounding the incident, the officers of the family involved believe the incident is not indicative of people they have worked with in Greater Manchester Police.
They feel supported by their line management and hope they are given the time and space to process this incident. Whilst this incident has shaken their confidence in policing, they have enjoyed their time as an officer and joined the police service to make a difference for their
community.
We hope all those injured during the incident make a full recovery and look forward to further information coming to light as the investigation is progressed by the Independent Office of Police Conduct.
We will continue to support the family as they deal with the impact of this incident and hope Greater Manchester Police and their colleagues continue to support them at this difficult time.
