Essex Police is delighted to host the 2024 National Black Police Association Conference. Over the course of three days, police officers, staff and community members are invited to join us at the Radisson Blu Hotel at London Stansted Airport, the third busiest airport in London and a gateway to over 160 destinations across Europe, Asia, and Africa. We will also be joined by world class speakers at what promises to be a stimulating, provocative and inspiring event.

We’ll begin with a networking event on Tuesday 15 th October, and then for the following two days we will gather to discuss the conference theme for this year, which is Policing Reform: The need for a service we can all be proud of. The celebrations will continue into the night with the NBPA Awards and Gala dinner.

As a collective, the National Black Police Association embodies what it means to be champions of diversity and showcases the indomitable spirit that Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people have in the relentless pursuit of justice in the midst of facing racism and discrimination.

We have seen in times of challenge, controversy and adversity, moments of courage and lifetimes of excellence that we look to celebrate, while acknowledging the ongoing challenges.

We will reflect on the past, recognise the advances being made in the present, and chart a practical course for the future.
